Welcome to the official wikispace for the

Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics program

Excitations in Condensed Matter: From Basic Concepts to Real Materials

October 5, 2009 - December 18, 2009

Coordinators: Claudia Ambrosch-Draxl, Kieron Burke, Roberto Car, Matthias Scheffler

  • This wiki is a platform for storing references and other resources, scheduling events, introductions and conversations among program participants. Program participants and researchers who are following the activities remotely are encouraged to add discussion or add new pages.

Getting started

  • Learning to use this wiki is no harder than learning to use email. Briefly, to edit a page, simply click the Edit tab at the top of the page. To add a page, click on the New Page item at the top left. Every page has a discussion board associated with it. To peruse the comments or to add your thoughts, click the discussion tab on the top of any page. To try your hand at using this platform, you can go to the KITP practice wikispace. You will find illustrations of how to add tables, files, images, mathematical expressions, etc. You will also find a list of all previous KITP wikis from which you may get some idea how others have exploited this platform.

Need Help?

  • Kieron Burke has volunteered to be the wikimaster for our program. He can be reached at extension 6368 or in office 2325.
